Emplids

The emplid is a unique number that identifies each student in the Student Information System (SIS). The use of the emplid replaces the social security number as the primary student identifier in RCC/VCCS student records.

Students with Multiple SIS IDs

If you are applying/reapplying online for Admission to RCC and you find that you have multiple SIS ID (emplid) numbers within the Virginia Community College System (VCCS), please use the SIS ID (emplid) number of the most recent VCCS college attended.

If you encounter problems with the online application, please download and print a hard copy of the application, complete the form and mail or fax to the campus you plan to attend. You will need Adobe Reader to open the pdf application and Adobe Reader 8 to use the fillable form feature.
