TLC Helpful Hints

Please make sure to arrive as early as necessary  to allow enough time to complete testing before the scheduled closing time.

If you are unable to take your test within the timeframe listed in your syllabus, please contact your instructor for permission to reschedule.

TLC Policies

All RCC students are bound to the college code of conduct.  Test Takers are responsible for knowing and adhering to the following policies and procedures. Violations of the following may result in student disciplinary action as outlined in the Student Handbook.

Only individuals taking tests are allowed in the Testing and Learning Centers during testing times. 
No children are allowed in the TLC.

All personal items including bags, books, multimedia and papers not identified as appropriate by the instructor must be left
at the front desk or bookcase.

All pagers and cell phones must be turned off.

Individuals may not leave the testing center for any reason without permission of the proctor.  Those granted permission to leave must turn in the test, sign out and then back in, and will not be given extra time to complete the test unless authorized by their instructor.

Individuals wanting to take a test within the last hour and thirty minutes (90 minutes) the TLC is scheduled to be open, must sign
the time-remaining agreement form.

Individuals are responsible for monitoring the time allowed to complete the test and are expected to return the test within the time limit.

Individuals requiring special accommodations must make arrangements in advance and present the appropriate paperwork.


TLC Procedures

Sign and present a photo ID.

Tell the proctor the correct course number, name of the instructor, and test. Check to be sure that the test handed to you is the correct. one.

Present receipt to the proctor for tests requiring fees or pay fee by check to the college receptionist.

Read the attached rules and instructions before taking a test.

Return the test to the proctor within the time allowed by the instructor.
All test will be collected 5 minutes prior to the scheduled closing time of the TLC.
